I saw this and thought instantly of Chris Wooding's Tales of the Ketty Jay series of books. They're like Firefly crossed with Steampunk, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Max and the Zombie Apocalypse :-) Everyone should check them out and introduce their imaginations to some of the best books out there :-D
